This release, perhaps somewhat self-ironically named Standard Klickmusik, is a journey into deep, minimal and atmospheric layers of electronic dub, house and funk, where the glitch and the static are present but not dominate. An intense and slow moving piece, it meanders through viscous layers of harmonies, beats and bleeps towards the gravity center of the genre, picking up and developing what is left aside and undiscovered. A fascinating journey that takes quite unexpected turns during its 52 minutes duration.
----------
The four members of Minimalistic Sweden are all from the same little town in the south of sweden, Hässleholm, and pretty well known in other contexts - Andreas Tilliander (Mille Plateaux, Raster-Noton) , Stefan Thor aka Folie (Mitek) and Anders Martinsson / Anders Nordgren aka Pfeffenbauer.
----------
Andreas Tilliander, is one of the most respected artists within the genre with releases on Mille Plateaux, Raster-Noton, and Audio NL to name just a few. He's been covered in magazines such as The Urb (US) and de:bug (DE), as well as Grammy nominated for his albums two years in a row in Sweden.
----------
Stefan Thor, aka. Folie, made his debut on Mitek with the album "Misspass" in 2002, a record that made it to the second place of the top 2002 album chart in the highly acclaimed magazine de:bug (DE).
----------
Anders Martinsson and Anders Nordgren, form the duo Pfeffenbauer that has been featured on the mitek: process compilation in 2003.
